In two short years, Al Welsh became one of the most respected pilots in aviation, and the impact of his contributions can be felt today. Welsh was the Wright brothers' most trusted pilot, and their finest instructor. He was the first Jewish American pilot, and the first pilot from Washington, DC to be licensed by the Aero Club of America. The exhibit celebrates and honors Arthur Welsh’s remarkable American life. |
