Meet Author Patrick Gregory and learn the remarkable story of Arthur Clifford Kimber. Ready to take on any mission to help win WWI, Kimber, started as an ambulance driver in an American unit which served with the French army, ferrying the wounded from frontline trenches. In September 1917 he joined the fledgling US Air Service. After training with French instructors he began transporting aircraft to the front as a ‘ferryman’ and then flew as a fighter pilot with both the French and American Air Services, joining the battle in the skies of war-torn Europe.
