An American Family in WWII
Date and Time:
Sunday, October 7 at 2pm
Description:
Author Sandra O'Connell will present letters and images from An American Family in WWII. The war, in the words of a B-17 pilot, his parents and sisters, captured forever in the extraordinary collection of letters that tells the story of one family’s daily struggle to keep faith and hope alive. The 800 letters have been edited into a unique book, An American Family in WWII. The family saved every letter and photograph, over 800 between February 1943 and September 1945 which when spread out over the landscape of the war years tell a unique story of courage in the air and resolve on the homefront.
