Yoga in the Parks

Yoga in the Parks is a FREE yoga program with classes that take place in the beautiful outdoors! Come join us and become one with nature. Enjoy the peace and serenity of a yoga class in one of many of our scenic park settings. Try yoga by Lake Artemesia or near the quiet Henson Creek Trail at Tucker Road! Either way you are in for a relaxing experience. Namaste!

Program Overview

Our yoga classes run Memorial Day through Labor Day at M-NCPPC sites throughout Prince George’s County. Class are scheduled for one hour and are designed for all levels. Certified Yoga Instructors teach our Yoga classes. Come and see what the calm is all about!

Benefits of Yoga

Yoga is an excellent form of exercise regardless of your age or practice level. It combines body movements, breathing, and mental relaxation to build strength, relieve stress, and to maintain health and well-being. Learn basic moves to strengthen your body, increase flexibility, and free your mind.

Registration

No registration required. Yoga in the Parks classes are open to ages 13 and up. Participants must sign a waiver to participate. For more information, call 301-446-6800, TTY 301-699-2544, or email wellness@pgparks.com.

Additional Information

Classes may be cancelled due to inclement weather or wet grounds. Please call 301-927-0822 prior to class for weather-related cancellations.
